Process Change and Improvement Assessment Audit
A Printed Quality Evaluation analysis will provide the newspaper or printing operation with some feedback on process performance. It is nowhere near inclusive of all aspects necessary for a Practical Process Improvement program to successively achieve your objectives.
The purpose of a Process Change and Improvement Audit is to assess, review and make recommendations for process change and improvement in printing production operations. This will involve an on-site assessment and analysis of your entire production operation from prepress through distribution center operations. We have a database of hundreds of key performance indicators (KPIs) and questions that we examine during the on-site assessment. We work closely and side-by-side with your management and operations team to gather data and information about your production process. At the end of the assessment, we brief you and your selected team on our preliminary findings. Within a week of completing the assessment, we will provide you with a written report of findings and recommendations. Additionally, we will provide follow-up at one-month and three-month intervals on the implementation of our recommendations in your operation. An optional service is to provide project management for your Practical Process Improvement program along with a follow-up assessment audit.
Please contact Scott to discuss how your operation can benefit from this service. Each on-site assessment and audit will vary in length and duration depending upon the size of your operation.

Newspaper Quality Manager Protégé/Mentor Program
This program is still under development and would require a core group of six protégés. The purpose of this program is to provide new or current newspaper quality managers with the skills and knowledge to effectively and efficiently perform their duties and achieve your objectives for the position.
Scott will work one on one with each protégé to learn Practical Process Improvement skills, gain the appropriate job related knowledge, answer any and all questions, and give advice as mentor. He will provide customized training materials and four hours per month of coaching/learning sessions, all via phone/web. The duration of the Protégé/Mentor program would be nine to eighteen months, depending upon the person's background and skill set.
We still do not have the minimum of six interested in the program and are continuing to accept applications for the program. Please contact Scott if you have an interest and/or to be added to the list.
